Heyyyyyyyyy, you know who you've got, babe. Say what you've gotta say.
[A long pause.
Shuffling.
Cloth.
Clatter.
Another long pause.
The actual cacophony of Finch's dorm.
And if you haven't hung up YET:]
Saints! Is this still o-?
[BEEEEEEEEEP.]

Re: Day 65, morning
[He shifts the skewer in his mouth. The candy melts quickly.]
But I was also thinking that there might be a little inch or two of you that I HAVEN'T kissed yet. It would be a shame to leave it unkissed.
Re: Day 65, morning
Work'll keep a while, won't it? There's always after, if we ain't too worn out.
Re: Day 65, morning
Re: Day 65, morning
Little kissing, little petting. Maybe after we can try out that thing I mentioned, since you were so keen.

-- you want to try it now?
Re: Day 65, morning
Re: Day 65, morning
Takes a little more work than the bracelet, but -- I got a feeling we'll sync up pretty good.
[And he holds out his hand, palm up]
Re: Day 65, morning
[There's still that fear they AREN'T... a slight hesitation as he settles his hand on Eddie's.]
Re: Day 65, morning
Me, too. So -- let's give it a go.
The first thing is, you kind of... take a good hard look at you. Ya know? Figure out where the edges of you are.
Re: Day 65, morning
Like... physically?
Re: Day 65, morning
Re: Day 65, morning
Re: Day 65, morning
More -- feel it.
Sort of like -- imagine you're in a room, and it's real dark. You don't just walk right in, right? You feel along the walls.
Like that.
Re: Day 65, morning
[He closes his eyes because it feels like he SHOULD close his eyes and- tries?
For a few moments, he's really just chasing his own thoughts and the feeling of his skin.
And then pokes at that feeling of potential instead.]
Re: Day 65, morning
You feel anything?
Re: Day 65, morning
[It's not physical, not really. Not any more than the way he feels or sees how things work or what they're made of.
But there's a way he reaches out and finds that possibility and wraps around it.]
Do you feel that?
Re: Day 65, morning
[When Jesper reaches out, there's something there -- nothing there, deep and black and empty. It's a soft hum of potential, a little frisson of power, near to the surface]
[It's not unlike fiddling with the dial on a radio, trying to get a channel to come in -- trying to get two sets of wavelengths to overlap enough to make comprehensible noise from static. It doesn't come in entirely clear; the sync isn't perfect, but it's decidedly there]
[Jesper can feel it when Eddie starts to reach out, in turn -- that first brush of contact, curious, and fond, and warm]
Hey, bo.
Re: Day 65, morning
There's a doubling of that curiosity, a ravenous interest, that underlying itch and some odd need settling-]
This is- Saints, it IS working, isn't it?
Re: Day 65, morning
I said I thought I had a good feeling.
Re: Day 65, morning
You did. I- This is incredible. You feel this all the time?
[The itch, though? It doesn't gentle. It goes down deep, deep, into a certain nothing of Jesper's own.
Though oddly, the more he's doing THIS, the more it diffuses a little.]
Re: Day 65, morning
[He leaves the itch be, for now, though he does keep an eye on it]
Oh, no. Mostly you got to get it started, like. It's a -- something you opt into, ya know?
Mostly.
Re: Day 65, morning
STILL-]
Mostly?
