[Curiosity has him shift enough to take the little bundle, already feeling past the wrapper, like a kid with presents.]

[Digging out another, bigger bundle from his other pocket and handing that over, too]

And this here's the metal for the birdcage.

Oh you DO know how to spoil a man.

[He settles down the much heavier bundle and unwraps the treat first because Jesper is Jesper.]

I ain't promising nothing. Don't get your hopes up.

[It's not much to look at, but it seems to be some sort of candy mounted on skewers from the kitchen ruin]

[Oh, oh he loves that. Between the warmth from the kotatsu, the cushions and the press of another person and the little array of kisses. He just, closes his eyes for a moment and SOAKS in it.]

What could I possibly do to improve on this? [Except cup Eddie's face and pull him up for a deeper kiss for a long, languid moment.]

[He goes easy enough -- leans into the kiss]

[When it's done he looks languid and pleased, like a cat lying in the sun. (And if there's the slightest hint of color to his cheeks at the casual verbal affection, he certainly doesn't acknowledge it)]
